Our Honeymoon Part I: Vegas

August 24, 2018

We started our honeymoon the next morning after our wedding! It was so much fun!!! We flew from Jacksonville to Atlanta and then Atlanta to Las Vegas. The whole time we were engaged, Tommy always asked me to marry him in Vegas. I thought that would be fun but I still wanted a “normal” wedding and  reception with family and friends. So when I thought about stopping in Las Vegas for night 1 of our honeymoon, getting married in Vegas immediately popped into my head. Tommy also really wanted to get married by Elvia so we had to get married at The Graceland Chapel. We didn’t have a legal marriage ceremony in Vegas since we were already married so we just renewed our vows!

The photos from the wedding chapel are so cheesy but we had to buy them! We also have a video of our Elvis wedding. The chapel sends a limo to pick you up and take you to the chapel and then drops you back off once you are done. The ceremony lasted about 5-10 mins, it was super short. It was fun to do but definitely wouldn’t recommend doing it for an actual wedding.

We stayed at The Bellagio on the Vegas Strip. After we got married, we went back to the hotel and ate dinner at Prime, a steakhouse inside the Bellagio. After dinner and drinks, we went to the casino and spent too much money and stayed up way too late playing roulette and blackjack. I think we went to bed at 4am and our flight to San Francisco was at 9am meaning get to the airport by 7am. The next morning was fun…not lol!
