Our Honeymoon Part III: San Francisco

October 15, 2018

We headed to San Francisco on Friday from Napa. The airport we were flying out of to go back to home was San Francisco airport which is why we decided to stay for two nights before heading home. As much as we loved Napa, visiting so many wineries made us not want wine for a few days (and we are wine lovers! lol). We drove to San Francisco, checked into our hotel, and then dropped off our rental car.

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton which is fairly centrally located. We walked most places or took Ubers.

Friday night –  We went to Mister Jiu’s Restaurant, a trendy spot in Chinatown. The food was really good!

Saturday morning – We started the day by going to Alcatraz! I have never been before so I wanted to actually go to the island and take the tour. When we arrived on the island, there was a former Alcatraz prisoner that was speaking! We bought his book and got him to sign it, pretty neat!

Saturday afternoon – We walked around Fisherman’s Wharf after our Alcatraz tour. We had lunch at Boudin, I know it is touristy but I wanted sourdough bread! Afterwards we went to Saks Fifth Avenue because they have a Celine inside! I have always wanted a Celine bag so I was so excited when I found out there is a store in San Francisco.

Saturday night – Last night of our honeymoon! It was bittersweet because we didn’t want it to end but we were looking forward to getting back home and seeing our pups! There was a huge parade going on for Chinese New Year so we went to the parade and then we went to hole in the wall Chinese restaurant in Chinatown – it was so yummy!!!

Sunday morning – we headed back to Jacksonville!

Hope y’all enjoyed reading about our honeymoon! 🙂
