My guac recipe

May 12, 2016

I’ve been MIA for awhile due to law school finals but they are finally over! I’m officially done with my second year of law school, I can’t believe it! Today I am sharing my guacamole recipe which is always a hit. I get asked for the recipe all the time so here it is:

What you’ll need:

2 ripe avocados
1 red onion
2-3 roma tomatoes
1 lime
salt & pepper

Slice the avocados in half. Remove the pit. Scoop out the avocados. Mash the avocados in a small-medium sized bowl. Next dice the onions and tomatoes. You can add as much or as little onion as you like (I know a lot of people don’t like onions). For the tomatoes, I sometimes de-seed them if they have a lot of seeds and water in side. When you cut the tomato in half, you can just scrape out the seeds so the guacamole is less “runny.” Next slice the lime into wedges. Add the onions and tomatoes to the smashed avocado. Squeeze 2-3 lime slices into the avocado mix. Next add salt and pepper. I just “eye” the amount of salt and pepper. You can always add more so it’s better to start on the light side. Mix everything together and go ahead and sample the guac with a tortilla chip. You can add more lime, salt or pepper. Then serve with chips (& a margarita!).

Option to add jalapeños and cilantro to spice it up! Also, you can always double the recipe to make more guac. The recipe above is perfect for 2-3 people.
