Nursery Reveal

December 31, 2018

Sharing Madison’s nursery today!

I am so excited that the nursery is finished and ready for her arrival. I wanted the nursery to be fairly simple with lots of white and hints of blush pink. We had the room and ceiling drywalled because the old walls were wallpapered and then painted over multiple times. Our house was built in 1905 so the walls were not in great shape (they are made out of plaster and lathe) which is why we decided to have the walls and ceiling dry walled. Once that was finished, we had the room and closet painted. Next, my dad and Tommy knocked out all the old shelving and built new shelving to make a better use of the closet space. After the closet was finished, they put up chair rail trim around the middle of the room. Once all of that was finished, we added the furniture, a new ceiling fan, and a large rug! My mom helped organize and design the closet so that we have a lot of storage space since the house is old, there is not a lot of space for storage.
