I can’t believe that there is basically only a month until my due date (January 8, 2019)! I wanted to share some of the maternity photos that I took a few weeks ago.
We had to shoot quickly because the weather was not cooperating the day of the shoot! It was so windy and it was raining on and off. Luckily, Samantha was able to quickly capture many beautiful photos!
Yesterday, I had an OB appointment to check baby Madison’s growth. I was 35 weeks and 2 days yesterday. They measured Madison as being 7.5lbs already! Her measurements are putting her in the 97th percentile for weight and height (she is long too!). Though sometimes the ultrasound measurements are not always correct/accurate, my OB began talking to me about birthing options since she is predicted to be so large. We discussed having a c-section but I don’t need to make any decisions yet. I now have weekly visits at the OB’s office and they scheduled another ultrasound to check growth when I hit 38 weeks. When I have my 38 week ultrasound, I will see how big she is and make my decision on whether I want to schedule a c-section or whether I want to wait to go into labor and try to have her naturally. My OB is worried about her shoulders getting stuck which is why we are discussing a c-section. Even if they induced me a week before her due date, they still think she could be 10 pounds and that I could still have trouble having her/her shoulders getting stuck. The OB said her size is due to genetics. My siblings and I were all pretty large babies and we were all c-section babies. Tommy and I discussed all of this and we want to do whatever presents the least amount of risk to Madison and to me.
